This gorgeous mid century 1940s Japanese ceramic figure does have some minor edge damage that can be associated with age. I do believe it is still certainly in display ready condition. Someone with a bit of know-how and The ability to do so can get this in perfect condition very easily I'm sure. The stamp on the base that I have pictured is unfortunately very difficult to get a perfect picture of. From what I can tell it says Japan and then dash USA. The number is 900. To add to the provenance this Cardinal came from a home of a Japanese doctor that had hundreds of Japanese ceramic pieces.
