DeForest of California Dip Holder Centerpiece Pottery Vtg Make Pig of Yourself

On offer is this darling DeForest of California pig head dip holder. This piece is a vintage, hand-painted gem which advocates for excessive consumption of foodstuffs. :) The message; 'Go ahead make a pig of yourself' is painted on the lid and that playful face echos the sentiment. It stands approximately 5.33" tall, has a diameter of 6", and weighs about 1lb 10oz. It was originally made for sitting in the center of a Lazy Susan, flanked by 4 coordinating trays. Aside from the intended usage, this piece could be used as a cookie jar, or simply as a fun retro decoration. Maker's mark is stamped on the base. In good vintage preowned condition; there are no chips or cracks to the jar or lid, but there is crazing throughout.
