Japanese Hon-kaya (Japanese torreya) 4-sun Go board (4 sun 1 bu 5 rin) Omote-ban (face-up board)

《Origin》 Shikoku

This Go board is made from Hon-kaya from Kochi Prefecture, naturally dried for over 10 years, processed, and has been aged for over 20 years.

It is a raw wood finish Omote-ban.

Since it is unused, there are no playing marks.

Some parts of the grid lines and star points are slightly faded, but it is still perfectly usable.

There are no small cracks on the top surface.
There are thin black stains.
There is a small hole that has been filled with wood (see image 17).

There are small cracks and stains on both ends of the wood.

There is putty repair on one end of the wood, on the back side (see image 20).

There are stains on both sides.

There are small knots, putty repairs, and peeling on the back.

It is being sold without a hesog (the indentation on the bottom) or legs.

You can use it as a tabletop board as is, or you can have legs added later at a specialist shop, as it has a hesog.

Although there are stains and wood repairs on the top surface of the Go board,
it is over 4 sun thick, giving it a very substantial feel as a tabletop board.
