Vintage 1970's Wilton U.S. House of Representatives Pewter Mug w/ Ceramic Insert
BRAND:
- I believe the mug is made by Wilton (has some stamps on the back, but no written brand name)
CONDITION & NOTED FLAWS:
- Pre-owned, vintage display condition. Was never used and has no damage that I can see.
FEATURES & ACCENTS:
- Stamped U.S. House of Representatives Logo on the front
- Has a removable ceramic insert that you could put liquid in if you wish to use it for drinking!
- The cup was gifted to my grandparents in 1973 during Michigan Representative Charles E. Chamberlain's service in the U.S. House. There is a business card with a note from Charles to my grandparents included, plus a penny that notes the year. They also saved a couple of newpaper clippings of his obituary in 2002, and a piece of the original package that the mug arrived in. I am including all with the mug.
MEASUREMENTS:
- With the insert, it is about 4 inches tall and 2.75 inches wide (not including the handle)
